Friday's Faith - Faith in the Reunion on the Far Side ~Tommy Prince

Safe in God's Keeping

I am Home in Heaven, dear
ones. Oh! so happy and so bright,
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this Everlasting Light.
All the pain and grief are over,
Every restless yearning past;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely Home in Heaven at last.
Dear ones, do not grieve so
sorely. For I love you dearly
still; Try to look beyond earth's
shadows. Pray to trust Our
Father's Will.
When your work is all completed
He will gently call you Home.
Oh! the rapture of that meeting!
Oh! the joy to see you come!

Faith in the Reunion on the Far Side

~Tommy Prince

Today, I found out my uncle died. I began to think, he's up there with his daughter, his sister (my mother), his brother, his mother, and his dad. I began to realize the reunion on the Other Side gets larger as time goes on than the family reunions here… My grandparents on both sides, both of my parents, several uncles from both sides, and a cousin have gone on now.

I am looking forward to that reunion with family, but as a father who's lost his baby, nothing compares to the longing for that reunion I'll have with my "baby girl," Merry Katherine.

I am so thankful for the faith and hope that there will be such a Great Reunion on the Far Side some bright day...

Friday's Faith - In Child-Loss Grief, What Does Faith Do?

Friday's Faith

In Child-Loss Grief,

What Does Faith Do?

miss
you
like crazy.
My heart is
shattered
and broken
into a million tiny pieces and I can't breathe.
My heart and soul
aches for just one more moment.
I miss your smile, I miss your voice.
My tears are endless...
I ask God, Why, but he didn't answer.
What is a new normal? I liked it just the way it was.
Time passes and I know you are not coming back.
I hear that time heals but I don't believe it does.
Time cannot heal a broken heart. Nothing can fill this void.
Memories and tears flood my mind
and my eyes with every breath I take.
I am your Mother always and forever.
I will always hold sweet memories of you
for as long as I am breathing. You are my Child.
Grief. What is Grief? Grief is Love.
I love you to the moon and back and every where in between.
Some days I find joy amidst all the pain and sorrow.
Knowing that in my heart, there will be tomorrow.
My sweet child, I have faith in our God above,
and I know I will see you again, it's all about that love.
Until the day we meet again,
I will hold you close to my heart,
knowing that one
sweet day,
we'll never be apart.

Friday's Faith - Faith in God While Grieving My Child

Friday's Faith

Faith in God While Grieving My Child

Faith in God While Grieving My Child

You gave me my child
My dear sweet Lord.
You spoke her name,
And called her forth.

She filled our hearts
With love and joy
For nineteen years...
Such overflowing joy.

Such miracles
Amazed our world,
Blessed as we were
By our baby girl.

So Lord when I look
Into Your heart
And see such love
You do impart,
How can I doubt
That even now,
You still with life
In her do endow.
She is with You
Enduring no pain;
Her heart is full
In your loving reign.

Keep my eyes
On You dear Lord.
Though it's dark now,
You prepare our reward,
To join You and our child
In Your Heavenly Home,
Surrounded by Love
That has fully grown.
More of the joy
That we felt in those years
Will be eternally felt
But with no more tears...

Also, may you be very blessed in hearing this poignant story of a father's comfort found in Jesus after his baby girl's tragic death. Blessings to you all in your own grief over your own precious child.
