Sunday's Sorrow ~ Good Mourning!

Sunday's Sorrow

Good Mourning!

Good Morning!
(Welcome again to my world of sadness.)
Or shall I say, "Good Mourning!"
As I celebrate my child who brought me gladness...

Tears flow~
As I remember my child's and my love for one another…
Must they slow?
No! Such is the life of a Grieving Mother!

Good Mourning!
Do not let the world tell you your tears are bad ~
Our tears are simply God's reminder of what we had ~

Good Mourning!
Every grieving mother knows
Cherishing our child's love is worth being sad!
Good Mourning!
So until we reach Heaven, our tears must flow!

The tears that represent our sacred treasure,
others ~who are blind~ will call "fools gold"!
Good Mourning!
As our Lord said, "Blessed are those who mourn" ~
We, of all people then, are blessed beyond measure!

Good Mourning!

Poem - Good Mourning! - Angie Bennett Prince - April 2, 2016

~~~~~
Grief is not a disease;
it is not an illness;
it is not depression.
It is, in fact,
an expression
of love.
Grief can only
be a disease
if love is.
Monday's Mourning Ministry - The Sky is Crying ~Stevie Ray Vaughan ~Revised Lyrics for Grieving Parents
Monday's Mourning Ministry
The Sky is Crying
~Stevie Ray Vaughan
~with Revised Lyrics for Grieving Parents
The Sky is Crying
~Stevie Ray Vaughan
The sky is cryin',
can ya see the tears roll down the street
The sky is cryin',
can ya see the tears roll down the street
I been lookin' for my baby, yeah
yeah, an' I wonder where can she be
I saw my baby early one mornin',
an' she was walkin' on down the street
I saw my baby early one mornin',
an' she was walkin' on down the street
You know it hurt me, hurt me so bad, yeah
it made my poor heart skip a beat
I got a real, real, real bad feelin',
my baby ain't gon' be here no more
I got a real, real  bad, bad feelin',
my baby ain't gon' be here no more
You know the sky's been cryin' now,
Can you see the tears flow from the depths of my soul?
Monday's Mourning Ministry - Holes in the Floor of Heaven ~Steve Wariner
Monday's Mourning Ministry
Holes in the Floor of Heaven
~Steve Wariner
Holes In The Floor Of Heaven
~Steve Wariner
One day shy of 8 years old, (my) Grandma passed away,
I was a broken hearted little boy, blowin' out that birthday cake.
How I cried when the sky let go, with a cold and lonesome rain,
Momma smiled, said, "Don't be sad child, Grandma's watchin' you today!"
[Chorus]
'Cause there's holes in the floor of heaven and her tears are pourin' down
That's how you know she's watchin', wishing she could be here now.
And sometimes if you're lonely, just remember she can see,
There's holes in the floor of heaven, and she's watchin' over you and me.
Seasons come and seasons go, nothing stays the same.
I grew up, fell in love, met a girl who took my name.
Year by year, we made a life in this sleepy little town.
I thought we'd grow old together ~ Lord I sure do miss her now!
But there's holes in the floor of heaven, and her tears are pourin' down.
That's how I know she's watchin', wishing she could be here now.
And sometimes when I'm lonely, I remember she can see,
There's holes in the floor of heaven, and she's watchin' over you and me.
Well my little girl is 23, I walk her down the aisle,
It's a shame her mom can't be here now, to see her lovely smile.
They throw the rice, I catch her eye,
As the rain starts comin' down.
She takes my hand says, "Daddy don't be sad, 'cause I know Momma is watchin' now!
And there's holes in the floor of heaven, and her tears are pourin' down,
thats how you know she's watchin', wishin' she could be here now."
And sometimes when I'm lonely, I remember she can see,
Yes, there's holes in the floor of heaven, and she's watchin' over you and me.
Watchin' over you and me
Watchin' over you and me
Watchin' over you and me
Friday's Faith - Amidst My Tears
Friday's Faith
Amidst My Tears
It's really hard today
I don't know why;
It's a beautiful day,
not a cloud in the sky.
My heart is just broken;
The sobs and tears flow ~
My tears, your Bible soaking,
I'm missing my baby so…
Such a beautiful world,
Come alive in the spring,
But where's my baby girl
Amidst all these living things?
God bless us grieving dads and mothers,
For us, there's no relief;
Our hearts are ever overflowing
In this never-ending child-loss grief.
In this Bible given to you on Easter, 2000,
you were just turning 13...
In it you wrote:
My name: Merry Katherine Prince
The people I live with: My Mom & Dad, & 2 brothers
Things I'm good at: Running!
I like to read the Bible when I'm feeling: Lost, & in seek of help
Right now I try to please God by: Doing what is right
May I take a cue from you
as I feel lost, and seeking help,
and turn to my Lord for just a clue
to survive your loss amidst Grief's deepest well.
I look in your Bible and read our Lord's words…
"Blessed are the poor in spirit,
....for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn,
.....for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek,
....for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness
....for they will be filled.
Blessed are the merciful,
....for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart,
....for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
....for they will be called sons of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of
righteousness,
....for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.
Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you."
~Matthew 5:3-12 NIV
Our value system is upside down,
As when we cry, we think we're weak,
But God in Heaven turns this all around,
For when we're at the bottom, and lost, it is Him we seek!
He comes to us, to bless our heart,
To be with us amidst this world's worst loss;
He consecrates this sacred time in the dark,
Meeting us even as we carry Grief's cross:
The poor in spirit taste a bit of His Heaven,
We who mourn, experience His own comforting,
In our meekness, we are most blessed,
For when we hunger for Him, He gives Himself more;
When we're merciful to ourselves and others, we'll receive mercy;
In our purified hearts, we better see Him!
As we give one another peace, He calls us His own daughters and sons,
And when we feel most put down, we again taste of His Heaven!
Thank You God for meeting me...
In my most weakened state of many tears,
You clear my eyes to help me see...
It is then, my Lord, that You most draw near,
granting me my much needed peace,
lifting my eyes with a view much more clear:
My child is with You and yet draws near to me,
and along with You, she wipes every tear…
Amidst a world filled with such skewed values,
It is in our tears
That You meet us and pat us,
As it is then, You and our child can best draw near,
Filling us with Love that holds the greatest of all value!
God bless us grieving dads and mothers
Who need Your comfort above all others!
Meet us here amidst each tear,
As You and our child ever to us will draw near…
Saturday's Sayings ~ You Don't Get Over It ~ You Just Get Through It
Saturday's Sayings
You Don't Get Over It
~ You Just Get Through It
You will find as you look back upon your life that the moments when you have really lived are the moments when you have done things in the spirit of love.
“You don’t get over it, you just get through it...
You don’t get by it, because you can’t get around it...
It does not get better, It just gets different...
Everyday grief puts on a new face.”
~~~~~

Grief is a tidal wave that overtakes you,

Smashes down upon you with unimaginable force,

Sweeps you up into its darkness,

Where you tumble and crash against unidentifiable surfaces,

Only to be thrown out on an unknown beach, bruised, reshaped...

Grief will make a new person out of you,

If it doesn't kill you in the making...

This bears repeating…

~ "Do not judge the bereaved mother. She comes in many forms. She is breathing, but she is dying. She may look young, but inside she has become ancient. She smiles, but her heart sobs. She walks, she talks, she cooks, she cleans, she works, she IS but she IS NOT, all at once. She is here, but part of her is elsewhere for eternity." ~

~♥~ I never knew how much love my heart could hold until someone called me 'Mommy.' ~♥~

~♥~ "Cleanse yourself with laughter and with tears. Let tears take out all the agony that is hidden inside you, and let laughter ignite your contagious joy. Many people don't realize the great curing effects of good laugh and a good cry.

"Crying is a great way to (relieve) emotional pain in your life. A lot of us save crying for extremely emotionally sensitive times, such as when (a) close loved one dies, or during a bad break-up. During times like these every tear that falls down our face is an ounce of pain leaving the body. Crying is one of the greatest coping mechanisms that we have as a human beings.

"It is important to drain our sorrows out with tears and re-ignite the flame of joy in your / our life by laughing as much as possible during the most trying times." ~♥~

Remember the life and love that touched you, enriched you, blessed you, and changed you for all eternity. This life is so much bigger than the death. If you are struggling with images of a painful, prolonged, or traumatic and sudden end, keep turning your attention to the life that made your life brighter and sweeter. Life and love are always bigger than death.

Friday's Faith - Can the Oceans Hold Our Grief?

Friday's Faith

Can the Oceans Hold Our Grief?

Listening to a meditation c.d. …

Hearing my baby splashing in the Ocean of Life,

Laughing outrageously,

Having the time of her life…

Lord help me climb into

Her True Reality ~

She has not been robbed of life;

She is swimming in Your Great Blue Sea!

Left behind,

My eyes tear up;

I miss my child,

My eyes fill up…

My, what love does to our heart;

We're never the same once our child does part…

Thank You Lord, You gave us a love so great;

It never diminishes this side of Heaven's Gate.

It will be there still when once she reappears ~

Meanwhile, we'll fill Oceans with our salty tears;

It does not matter how many the years…

Such love goes with us, and never disappears.

Tell me Lord, how do You handle such love?

You have so many children You long for from Above.

Please reach down and hold this child's heart,

Weeping now as I miss my child that from me had to part…

Help me as daily, I wade through my Oceans of Grief;

Hold me,Your baby girl, comforting with sweet relief.

Tell me, do my tears fill the Oceans that bring her sweet relief?

Monday's Mourning Ministry - Do You Cry? / I Won't Let Go ~Rascal Flatts

Monday's Mourning Ministry

Do You Cry?

~

I Won't Let Go

~Rascal Flatts

Do You Cry?

Do you cry

When Mommy cries?

Since you always did,

I believe you do.

Does God catch tears in Heaven?

I believe He does ~

He wouldn't let your precious tears be wasted.

Do they fill the River of Life

or

Is there a River of Love?

If there is

I'll bet it's big,

for

all the parents

I've talked to,

we've each shed

a few rivers of our own.

So Baby, do you cry

Like you did here?

Or There,

Do you have more hope?

Can you see the other side

To where I'm going, and know

That I'll be okay

Like you're okay

And we'll be close

Forever

To cry our tears,

Our happy tears of love

With one another?

Do you cry

When Mommy cries?

Since you always did,

I believe you do.

Do you see me ~

I'm crying now

'cause I miss you...

Can't wait till I am There

to be with you ~

And with Him

Who'll wipe all our tears away...

May God bless you and ever hold you close to His heart, sweet baby.❤

*****

I Won't Let Go

~Rascal Flatts

It's like a storm

That cuts a path

It breaks your will

It feels like that

You think you're lost

But you're not lost

on your own,

You're not alone

I will stand by you,

I will help you through

When you've done all you can do

and you can't cope

I will dry your eyes,

I will fight your fight

I will hold you tight

and I won't let go

It hurts My heart to see you cry

I know its dark

this part of life

Oh it finds us all

and we're too small

to stop the rain

Oh but when it rains...

I will stand by you,

I will help you through

When you've done all you can do

and you can't cope

I will dry your eyes,

I will fight your fight

I will hold you tight

and I won't let you fall

Don't be afraid to fall

I'm right here to catch you

I won't let you down

It won't get you down

You're gonna make it

Yeah, I know you can make it

'Cause I will stand by you,

I will help you through

When you've done all you can do

and you can't cope

I will dry your eyes,

I will fight your fight

I will hold you tight

and I won't let go

Oh I'm gonna hold you

and I won't let go

Won't let you go

No I won't
