Saturday's Sayings - Death Cannot Kill What Never Dies…

Saturday's Sayings

Death Cannot Kill What Never Dies…

You will not see me, so you must have faith.
I wait for the time when we can soar together again,
both aware of each other.

Until then, live your life to its fullest and when you need me,
just whisper my name in your heart,
I will be there.

~ Emily Dickenson

May tender memories soften your grief,
May fond recollection bring you relief,
And may you find comfort and peace in the thought
Of the joy that knowing your loved one brought
For time and space can never divide
Or keep your loved one from your side.
When memory paints in colors true,
the happy hours that belonged to you.

"Sweet Memories" painting by Jessica Stride

Death is a brief separation
A temporary pain
Grieve not my dear
The sun will shine again
Death separates our bodies
But our hearts remain the same
And the memories of our love
Will soothe away your pain
And carry you over
Until we meet again.

~ Injete Chesoni

They say love beyond the world cannot be separated by it.
Death cannot kill what never dies.

Remembering is an act of resurrection,
each repetition a vital layer of mourning,
in memory of those we are sure to meet again.

The angels are always near to those who are grieving, to whisper to them that their loved ones are safe in the hand of God.

~ The Angels' Little Instruction Book by Eileen Elias Freeman, 1994

There will come a day
When your tears of sorrow
Will softly flow into tears of remembrance
And your heart will begin to heal itself
And grieving will be interrupted by episodes of joy
And you will hear the whisper of hope.

There will come a day
When you will welcome the tears of remembrance
As a sun shower of the soul
A turning of the tide
A promise of peace.

There will come a day when you will
Risk loving
Go on believing
And treasure the tears of remembering.

A loved one is a treasure of the heart and to lose a loved one is like losing a piece of yourself.
But the love that this person brought you did not leave,
for the essence of the soul lingers.
It cannot escape your heart, for it has been there forever.

Cling to the memories and let them find their way to heal you.
The love and laughter, the joy in the togetherness you shared will make you strong.

You'll come to realize that your time together, no matter how long, was meant to be, and that you were blessed to have such a precious gift of love in your life.

Keep your heart beating with the loving memories and trust in your faith to guide you through.
Know that though life moves on the beauty of love stays behind to surround and embrace you.
Your loved one has left you that to hold in your heart forever.

"Spirit of The Heart" painting by Megan Duncanson

There is a bond that you can't see
for it's not bound with twine.
It's formed from strands within our souls,
this love that's yours and mine.

When I went home to be with God,
you must now understand,
I took with me this bond of love
and I still hold that strand.

So look now at my photograph.
The smile, you'll quickly see.
But only hearts can see the strand
forever binding You and Me.

Enjoy the precious memories
although we are apart.
We'll share more joys again one day.
I believe that with all my heart!
