Have a Blessed Mother's Day! ~ "Since Many Waters Cannot Quench Love..."

God Bless You On Mothers Day

Have a Blessed Mothers Day!

"Since Many Waters Cannot Quench Love..."

Mother, dear Mother, my heart breaks for you

On this Mother's Day as you spend your day

Without one of your babies who loved you

And tried to show you in many-a-sweet-way...

And though holidays are never the same

Without this precious child e'er by your side

To love on, and to call on Mother's sweet name,

The love is still there, e'en if now it does "hide."

Perhaps you could think of it in a new way:

Your loving relationship is still intact;

Love just has to be shown in a different way...

Until that Blessed Day we have our child back!

Our Loving Lord calls us, by faith, to see

Our beloved child now, there by His side,

Ever watching, loving, and awaiting thee,

Praying for you through ev'ry tear you've cried...

Since "Many waters cannot quench love;

rivers cannot wash it away..."

Knowing your baby loves you dearly from above,

Mother, dear Mother, may you have a Blessed Mother's Day!

*****

Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot wash it away.

Song of Solomon 8:7a (NIV)

Wonderful Mother

Today was unexpectedly sad. I thought yesterday that I was going to be able to get through today much easier than last Mother's Day. The tears started on my way down the stairs this morning and didn't stop until this afternoon. The ache and emptiness was severe. It will be two years on May 30th since my daughter was killed in a car accident. Today I was desperate for some relief so I googled grief blogs and found yours. I finally felt at home and found comfort in reading much of your blog. I am so sorry for your loss and am thankful that you have taken your pain and have bared your heart to help others. Thank you so much! Cindy
