Monday's Mourning Ministry

I'm tired, I'm worn
My heart is heavy
from the work it takes
to keep on breathing

I've made mistakes
I've let my hope fail
My soul feels crushed
by the weight of this world

And I know that You can give me rest
So I cry out with all that I have left
Let me see
Redemption Win
Let me know
the Struggle Ends
That You can mend a heart
that's frail and torn

I want to know a Song can rise
from the ashes of a broken life
And all that's dead inside
Can be reborn

'Cause I'm worn

I know I need
to lift my eyes up
but I'm too weak
Life just won't let up

And I know that You can give me rest
So I cry out with all that I have left
Let me see
Redemption Win

Let me know
the Struggle Ends

That You can mend a heart
that's frail and torn

I want to know a Song can rise
from the ashes of a broken life

and all that's dead inside
can be reborn

'Cause I'm worn
my prayers are wearing thin
I'm worn
even before the day begins
Yeah, I'm worn
I've lost my will to fight
I'm worn
so Heaven come and flood my eyes

Let me see
Redemption Win
Let me know
The Struggle Ends
That You can mend a heart
that's frail and torn

I want to know a Song can rise
from the ashes of a broken life
and all that's dead inside
can be reborn

Yes all that's dead inside
Will be reborn

Though I'm worn

Yeah, I'm worn

Then Jesus said,
"Come to Me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
"Take My yoke upon you. Let Me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
"For My yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light."

Matthew 11:28-30 (New Living Translation of The Holy Bible)

Jesus proclaimed in Luke 4:17-21 of The New Testament that He had come to this earth to fulfill the prophecy spelled out for us in The Old Testament, in Isaiah 61:

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on Me,
because the Lord has anointed Me
to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the Lord
for the display of his splendor.

~Isaiah 61:1-3 (New International Version of The Holy Bible)
