Wednesday's Woe - Bereaved Parents and the Smug "Fixers" ~ (PAWZ Movie)

Though the characters below are cartoon-characters and are not of themselves "real," the comments made by the smug character to the bereaved are real, actual comments that have been leveled at grieving parents.

People who have unrealistic expectations of child-loss grievers can become toxic to those grievers.

Such people can inflict secondary injuries on the bereaved if their attitudes and comments come across as hurtful, especially when those comments are coming from someone who is in a position to help, or of whom the griever expects that there is a potential for help or comfort.

Religious people can even be spiritually abusive if they are taking the Loving God out of His loving context and trying to cram Him down grievers' throats in their own twisted motivations.

Research shows these secondary injuries can potentially cause more emotional and spiritual damage to the griever at that time than the original loss and trauma itself.
