Monday's Mourning Ministry
Baby Take Your Bow
~Chris Rice
Three things my children all have in common...
They love God; they love people; and they love a great sense of humor.
As you saw from last week's Thursday's Therapy, my oldest child Rollin doing his humorous rap song from center stage, he loves to act and he loves to crack people up.
His brother Nathan and sister Merry Katherine are much like him.
Nathan's friends call him Conan O'Brien as their sense of humor is uncannily alike.
Merry Katherine wrote in her high school year book her senior year that she wanted to grow up to be "Mary Katherine Gallagher," a funny character played out on Saturday Night Live.
In some ways they are all living out,
"All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players..."
So, when you hear this song, you will see why it makes me cry so much.
Rollin came to me soon after her death and told me that this is a song he sings "to" his baby sister Merry Katherine...
"Baby, Take Your Bow."
Baby Take Your Bow
~Chris Rice
We're gonna miss your song and dance,
the way you made us laugh,
and we're so glad we had the pleasure for a while.
But on the other side you'll find a better audience;
just be yourself and you can't help but make the angels smile...
Baby all the world's a stage,
Playwrite pens your final page and
then, He brings your curtain down.
So blow us your kisses and drench our eyes...
We rise to our feet to wave goodbye...for now,
So baby take your bow.
The world is lovelier because you had your moment here, and
we could see a friend of heaven in your face, and
in your song we heard the longing for a distant shore, and
now your time has come to go, and
so be on your way.
Baby all the world's a stage
Playwrite pens your final page and
then, He brings your curtain down.
So blow us your kisses and drench our eyes.
We rise to our feet to wave goodbye...for now,
So baby take your bow.
The show is over now,
It's time to lay your burdens down,
So baby take...your bow.

Sweet Angie,
I do understand why this song makes you cry... So sad. Our daughters laid their burdens down upon the shoulders of Mom and Dad. Now as friends in the "Bond Of The Empty Ache," we can help to share our mutual burdens and lighten the load for each other as our strengths and weaknesses ebb and flow as if a tide in the ocean. You are loved and cherished precious friend. Hugs, Danielle
