Tuesday's Trust - When Fulfilled Love Unfurls…

Tuesday's Trust

When Fulfilled Love Unfurls…

O Father, release Your light into my heart
For all seems dark since we've been apart..
Stark sadness overwhelms this weary heart...
But Your Gladness cheers as Your Love imparts

Strength to this soul, from inside out,
Clearing my vision, ridding my doubt…
Reminding me she is… There… with You,
With nothing tainting her earthly view~~~

For she looks down, but sees not only me
Steeped in sadness, but still resting... in Thee…

You alone will heal this soul
When Your Light o'ertakes the Darkness of this
empty hole
Where my child once filled this mommy's world,

Lord, how I miss my baby girl…

Thank You that she's safe… There… with You
Please give me Lord Your Heavenly view…
Where One Day I'll fly into her arms
Filled with Joy, not earthly alarms,

Joy... resurrected by Your own blood
Shed for me and my sweet baby girl
Then once again my tears will flood
But this time because Joy, fulfilled Love unfurls…

Friday's Faith - We Walked Along the Road Together

Friday's Faith

We Walked Along the Road Together

We walked along the road together,
My daughter, tiny then, and I
My heart heavy, hers light as a feather
On that tender day, bright sun in the sky.

Into my pain, she spoke her truth,
Child-like, true to her nature:
The pain was shattered down to its root
By its piercing clarity, simply, to her mother wagered.

Were you child, or angel fair
With your clear green eyes and curls of hair?
Did God take you to His skies of blue
Those few years later, back to your Home so true?
Do you still speak down into my pain
With your breath of fresh air like a soothing rain?

We walk along the road together:
My daughter with her spritely grin, and I
My heart heavy, hers light as a feather
On these tender days, bright sun in the sky.

Tuesday's Trust - My Baby Girl’s Cries of Thanksgiving

Tuesday's Trust

My Baby Girl’s

Cries of Thanksgiving

Did you fly up to Heaven on the wings of angels,

Or did my Lord Jesus carry you Himself?

Somehow I picture you with Jesus, not angels,

As I know He caught you in His arms that night, Himself.

I cannot imagine He would delegate such a role to anyone else,

Not anymore, now that He lives in our hearts, faithful and true.

We don’t meet an angel in prayer, He meets us Himself,

He is so intimate with us in everything we walk through.

I picture it that way: He did not let you hit the ground That Night,

He was there to catch you as you were ever in His sight.

Then He took you into His Heavens where He and His Father

Rejoiced over you, and the angels cried out in worship to God that night.

No matter what, or how you got there, I know you

Walk with Jesus now, and you are surrounded by our loved ones.

I know you still love, and laugh, and play. And I can just see you

With your arms thrown up over your head, singing to God,

Thanking Him for who He is, and for all He’s done

To save you, and love you, and care for you,

Even at the greatest cost of all, the life of His own Son.

We gather with you in spirit, right there by your side,

In humble awe of our Lord, who drew you to His side.

Monday's Mourning Ministry - I See Her... / Missing You ~Billy Ray Cyrus

Monday's Mourning Ministry

Missing You

~Billy Ray Cyrus

~

I See Her...

In the star, I see her twinkling at me,
In the rock, I see her stability.
In th’ white dove, I see her gentle ways,
In the river, I see her refreshing gaze.
In the rose, I see her bright, sweet smile,
In the lotus, I see her bright, fresh style.
In bread, I see her enlivening mood,
In the moon, I see her darkening brood.
In roots, I see her grounding influence,
In the owl, I see her sharp discernments.
In the breath, I feel her quickened presence,
In God’s beauty, I sense her sweet essence.

In Your creation, I am reminded
I’d still see her, ev’n if I were blinded!

A Mother's Lament for a Son:

I live for the phone
I die for the mail
I took your picture
right off the nail
And put it right by my bed
So I could see you instead
Of the darkness of night

I hold conversations
with you in my mind
They only tighten
this knot deep inside
And the aching won't end
'Til i hold you again
If I only survive...

Why did you have to go
Why am I missing you so?
One heartbeat at a time
I'm going out of my mind
Missing you...
Missing you

I started a letter
I stared at your name
There wasn't a line
that didn't echo my pain
There was no sound at all
With the slow lonely fall
Of an unspoken tear.

Why did you have to go
Why am I missing you so?
One heartbeat at a time
I'm going out of my mind
Missing you...
Missing you

Life may take us
In different directions
But I'll always end up
deeper, deeper
in my true affection

Why did you have to go
Why am I missing you so?
One heartbeat at a time
I'm going out of my mind
Missing you...
Missing you

Missing you...
Missing you

Missing you...
Missing you

Missing you...
Missing you

Missing you darling
Missing you baby

Missing you...
Missing you

"I sometimes hold it half a sin
to put in words the grief I feel
For words, like Nature, half reveal
And half conceal the soul within."

~Alfred Lord Tennyson

This is how it feels
when the sacred is torn
from your life...
and the
"dark night of the soul"
becomes your constant
companion

Monday's Mourning Ministry - Do You Cry? / I Won't Let Go ~Rascal Flatts

Monday's Mourning Ministry

Do You Cry?

~

I Won't Let Go

~Rascal Flatts

Do You Cry?

Do you cry

When Mommy cries?

Since you always did,

I believe you do.

Does God catch tears in Heaven?

I believe He does ~

He wouldn't let your precious tears be wasted.

Do they fill the River of Life

or

Is there a River of Love?

If there is

I'll bet it's big,

for

all the parents

I've talked to,

we've each shed

a few rivers of our own.

So Baby, do you cry

Like you did here?

Or There,

Do you have more hope?

Can you see the other side

To where I'm going, and know

That I'll be okay

Like you're okay

And we'll be close

Forever

To cry our tears,

Our happy tears of love

With one another?

Do you cry

When Mommy cries?

Since you always did,

I believe you do.

Do you see me ~

I'm crying now

'cause I miss you...

Can't wait till I am There

to be with you ~

And with Him

Who'll wipe all our tears away...

May God bless you and ever hold you close to His heart, sweet baby.

I Won't Let Go

~Rascal Flatts

It's like a storm

That cuts a path

It breaks your will

It feels like that

You think you're lost

But you're not lost

on your own,

You're not alone

I will stand by you,

I will help you through

When you've done all you can do

and you can't cope

I will dry your eyes,

I will fight your fight

I will hold you tight

and I won't let go

It hurts My heart to see you cry

I know its dark

this part of life

Oh it finds us all

and we're too small

to stop the rain

Oh but when it rains...

I will stand by you,

I will help you through

When you've done all you can do

and you can't cope

I will dry your eyes,

I will fight your fight

I will hold you tight

and I won't let you fall

Don't be afraid to fall

I'm right here to catch you

I won't let you down

It won't get you down

You're gonna make it

Yeah, I know you can make it

'Cause I will stand by you,

I will help you through

When you've done all you can do

and you can't cope

I will dry your eyes,

I will fight your fight

I will hold you tight

and I won't let go

Oh I'm gonna hold you

and I won't let go

Won't let you go

No I won't
