~Blessed Easter~ Easter Poem: Empty Womb

~Blessed Easter~

Easter Poem:

Empty Womb

The pangs of childbirth o'ertake me
As mommy cries out for you
The groans within wrench my heart
As my baby is ripped from view

The birth pangs split my gut into
Its pains gush through my heart
With groans that no words can express
As my child from my side ripped apart

God's Spirit dashes to my weakness
To stoke this chasm with hope
That I not falter within it,
This pregnant pause your death evokes

His hope burns like tiny embers
Reminding me He is there
As He births you into Heaven
With His omnipotent care

He soothes my heart that can't yet see
This life rising up in you
He mercifully attends me
As He sees my womb ripped into…
The womb where you once lay,
That seems so empty now
Just as His own Son's tomb once did,
When touched by Abba's resurrection pow'r
Yields Life to our children instead!

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. For the

anxious

longing

of the creation

waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.

For we know that the whole creation

groans

and

suffers

the

pains

of

childbirth

together until now. And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves

groan

within

ourselves,

waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body. For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.

In the same way the Spirit also

helps

our

weakness;

for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with

groanings

too

deep

for

words...

Easter Blessings! ~ Love's Sweetest Sacrifice

Easter Blessings!

Love's Sweetest Sacrifice

Jesus, Lord, the blood You shed

Helps me know my child's not dead,

So though, now, I cannot see,

I know my child does live with Thee!

She gathers 'round Your holy throne

With others whom You call Your own;

And one day when You call me Home,

I, too, will join such Joy unknown.

So now I suffer for awhile,

But then I will rejoin my child;

Happy days I'll know again ~

I'll see with eyes of faith till then.

Draw near me Spirit, Comforter,

For now my heart does long for her...

The little one who blessed my life

Whose death now stabs me with a knife~

Bleeding out former happiness,

And yet -these times- You come to bless...

Hold my heart within Your hands,

Those hands, nail-scarred, from Love's demands.

We, like You, must suffer here,

But we, like You, our Lord draws near,

Promising He will catch each tear,

Drops of Love like Your blood drops here.

Lord, what will all these "Love drops" do?

"Multiply Love accorded you."

So Lord, these tears folks wish would cease...?

"Are diamonds Here of Love's release,

Symbols of investments made

In precious souls for whom My Son's blood paid.

For Love is Heav'n's best commodity;

Tears poured out in Love are as gold to Me,

Sweet investments in Eternity

Rendering returns sweetest to Me...

Tears poured out reveal your Love, you see!

Worldly treasures are worthless to Me;

Sacrifices of Love are what I see,

Like the blood of My Son shed for thee...."

Lord, I lay down my life for Thee,

Pour Your love out, and love through me.

You gave Your All; I at least give me;

May I Love as Christ loved me...

Jesus, You died, and now You live,

Conquering Death that my child might live!

Your death purchased our eternal lives;

Thank You for Love's Sweetest Sacrifice!

Saturday's Sayings - Love's Sweetest Sound in Dogwoods Found...

Saturday's Sayings

Love's Sweetest Sound in Dogwoods Found...

And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through His own blood.

~Hebrews 13:12

Easter's coming! Dogwoods abound.

No lovelier tree could e'er be found.

I hold in my hand its pink flow'r,

Illustration of Your Love's pow'r:

In its center ~ Your thorny crown,

Flowing out, Your Love's blood all roun' ~

At each petal's tip lies Death's thorn,

Encircled by Life's halo borne.

The halo formed beyond blood's veins:

Your blood required to end Death's reign.

In its shape, Your torturous cross,

Symbol of God's Ultimate loss.

The dogwood tree, a lovely sign,

In its beauty, God's Love defines:

Love's greatest sacrifice renowned ~

That dreadful day on Calv'ry's mound,

God gave His Son...that we'd be found:

His Loss, our gain ~ Love's sweetest sound.

Easter's coming! Dogwoods abound.

Yes ~ No lovelier tree could e'er be found.

Its pink flower shouts out Love's sound:

God lost His Child, that mine be found...

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

~John 3:16
