Monday's Mourning Ministry - Stay Strong ~Newsboys

Monday's Mourning Ministry

Stay Strong

~Newsboys

You're in the moment now
A bitter root
A wandering eye and then
The ties that bind start wearing thin, thin

You're in the moment now
When all you've been blessed with
Is not enough
Here's where the ground gets loose
Here's where the devils call your bluff

Stay strong
You are not lost
Come on and fix your eyes ahead
There's a new dawn to light our day, our day
You've gotta stay strong
You and I run
For the prize that lies ahead
We've come too far to lose our way, our way

We've seen the tragic flaws
The tortured souls
The saints with feet of clay
Here's where sin becomes cliche'

We've come through wilderness and watched
The cloud by day
The burning sky into dawn
Have you forgotten who you are?
Did you forget whose trip you're on?

Stay strong
You are not lost
Come on and fix your eyes ahead
There's a new dawn to light our day, our day
We've gotta stay strong
You and I run
For the prize that lies ahead
We've come too far to lose our way, our way

Get up, there's further to go
Get up, there's more to be done
Get up, this witness is sure
Get up, this race can be won
This race can be won

We've gotta stay strong
You are not lost
Come on and fix your eyes ahead
Our Father's dawn will light our day, our day
Come on and stay strong
His grip is sure
And His patience still endures
There'll be no letting go today, no way

Come on, and stay strong
You and I run
For the prize that lies ahead
We've come too far to lose our way, our way

Tuesday's Trust - Coming Out of Our Spiritual Train-Wreck ~Tommy and Angie Prince

God may show you the way, but you still have to make the journey. It is not always easy, but you will arrive at your destination. Have faith in HIM.

Tuesday's Trust

Coming Out of Our Spiritual Train-Wreck

~by Tommy and Angie Prince

What is it about...

"In this world you will have trouble/suffering"

that we don't understand?

Look at Jesus' life ~God's own Son~ and you will see suffering. Even He was not exempt. Why then do we somehow think we are exempt?

Predominantly, what's being preached from behind today's pulpit is "blessings-and-prosperity," and "trouble-and-suffering" are treated as just minor inconveniences. There is a mindset ---

"If you do everything right, you will be exempt from suffering, and all will turn out well,"

where it could be argued that the apostle Paul and the disciples looked forward to suffering. It is what happens when we stand against evil.

The "normal" for the disciple of Christ then is suffering; the abnormal for His disciple is the absence of suffering.

If they listened to Me, they will listen to you. If they hated Me, then they will hate You. If they persecuted Me, they will persecute you. (John 15:20)

There is also a mindset in today's church that many of us Child-Loss Grievers have come up against that can be so completely demoralizing on top of our already considerable angst, and that is that

"Any bad experience that might occur is one that should be overcome quickly and with little suffering, and 'victory' declared within a few months at most."

Child-Loss-Grievers' lives then become an anomaly that needs to be pushed into the shadows for no one to observe as our burden of grief is viewed as if it were an affront to God, as if we were one "cursed," certainly not blessed.

But God Himself says,
"Blessed are you that mourn for you will be comforted."

When fellow brothers and sisters in the faith avoid us, He Himself comes alongside to enter into our depth of pain, to ensure that we have His comfort.

If indeed "Normal" is defined as trouble-and-suffering for a child of God, in what then do we put our Hope?
If it is in our circumstances alone, then it follows we are in trouble spiritually as "we are of all people most to be pitied..."

1 Corinthians 15:19
... If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied...

But Jesus says,

In this world you WILL HAVE TROUBLE, BUT be of GOOD CHEER--- (Why? Because Jesus declares,) FOR I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD.

John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

HE is our HOPE ~ not circumstances...

Tuesday's Trust - I Have a Broken-Heart "Mother-Daughter" Necklace

Tuesday's Trust

I Have a Broken-Heart "Mother-Daughter" Necklace

I have a broken-heart "Mother-Daughter" necklace
representing my mother, my daughter, and myself,
our hearts ever entwined, our bond strong as a carapace,
even as two are now in Heaven, yet one is still here…

Each day, I shed many a tear,
my grief, so strong, it oft disarms,

But thankfully, the story doesn't end there,

for all three of us are bonded

and

surrounded with care,

now ensconced in Love,

wrapped in Jesus' arms,

and we will be reunited One Day,
when God,
our broken hearts,
will
then
repair.

Till then my broken heart
spills out
its loving care,
along with tears
poured out
to water our Love so fair.

I have a broken-heart "Mother-Daughter" necklace
representing my mother, my daughter, and myself,
our hearts ever entwined, our bond strong as a carapace,
even as two are now in Heaven, yet one is still here…

Monday's Mourning Ministry - One Day ~Lynda Randle

Monday's Mourning Ministry
One Day
~Lynda Randle

One Day
~Lynda Randle

Some days drag.
Some days fly.
Some days, I think of
the day I'll die.
Some days fill me.
Some days drain.
And one day,
Jesus will call my name.

One day,
Jesus will call my name.
As days go by, I hope
I don't stay the same.
I wanna get so close to Him
that it's no big change
on that day
that Jesus calls my name.

Most days, I pray,
but some days I curse.
A sad number of days,
I put myself first.
But it's not what I do;
the Cross made that plain.
And one day,
Jesus will call my name.

Oh, one day,
Jesus will call my name.
As days go by, I hope
I don't stay the same.
I wanna get so close to Him
that it's no big change
on that day
that Jesus calls my name.

One day,
Jesus is gonna call my name.
As days go by, I hope
I don't stay the same.
I wanna get so close to Him
that it's no big change
on that day
that Jesus calls my name.

Oh, one day,
Jesus will call my name.
As days go by, I hope
I don't stay the same.
I wanna get so close to Him
that it's no big change
on that day
that Jesus calls my name.

On that day
that Jesus calls my ame
On that day
that Jesus calls
my name.

Friday's Faith - How Do I Survive Child-Loss?

Friday's Faith

How Do I Survive Child-Loss?

What Is Faith?

It was faith that moved the mountain;

It was faith that filled the sea…

It was a word from God's own mouth

Saying simply, "Let there be…"

It is faith that moves my mountain of grief;

It is faith that fills this empty heart ~

Simple words from God's own mouth,

"My child, you will see…"

What is faith but eyes to see

That which is to come?

Faith shows me my child in Heaven…

Waiting There for me…

Monday's Mourning Ministry - You Are Not Alone ~Michael Jackson

Monday's Mourning Ministry
You Are Not Alone
~Michael Jackson

You Are Not Alone

~Michael Jackson

Another day has gone
I'm still all alone
How could this be
You're not here with me
You never said goodbye
Someone tell me why
Did you have to go
And leave my world so cold?

Every day I sit and ask myself
How did love slip away
Something whispers in my ear and says
That you are not alone
I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay

But you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart
For you are not alone

All alone
Why, oh?

Just the other night
I thought I heard you cry
Asking me to come
And hold you in my arms
I can hear your prayers
Your burdens I will bear
But first I need your hand
Then forever can begin

Every day I sit and ask myself
How did love slip away
Then something whispers in my ear and says

That you are not alone
I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay
For you are not alone
I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart
For you are not alone

Whisper three words then I'll come runnin'
And girl you know that I'll be there
I'll be there

But you are not alone
I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay
For you are not alone
I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart

For you are not alone (You are not alone)
I am here with you (I am here with you)
Though you're far away (Though you're far away)
You and me (I am here to stay)
For you are not alone (You are always in my heart...
For I am here with you
Though you're far apart
You're always in my heart
You are not alone (Not alone, No.)
You are not alone.
You are not alone

Say it again:
You are not alone
You are not alone
Not alone
Not alone

You just reach out to me girl
In the morning, in the evening

Not alone. Not alone
You and me
Not alone.
No~
Together,
Together,
Just stop being alone
Just stop being alone.

Friday's Faith - Meditation - The Lord Comes Down...

Friday's Faith

Meditation

The Lord Comes Down...

The Lord comes down

Into my heart;

His Spirit comes 'roun

His peace to impart.

He lifts my face

To see His eyes;

When we embrace,

My heart complies.

The Lord comes down

Into my heart;

His Spirit comes 'roun

His peace to impart.

He puts my hand

On tomb-stone ajar,

Holds out Love's hand,

I feel Love's scar.

My tears fall down,

His arms surround.

The Lord comes down

Into my heart;

His Spirit comes 'roun

His peace to impart.

Inside the tomb

I smell spice scents ~

Mother of His womb

Brought frankincense,

His body to glove

With her tears of love.

The Lord comes down

Into my heart;

His Spirit comes 'roun

His peace to impart.

He gives me a glimpse

Through Heaven's gates;

I catch a glimpse

Of my sweet child's face ~

Such peace therein

On her smiling face...

I breathe a sigh within

For His amazing grace.

The Lord comes down

Into my heart;

His Spirit comes 'roun

His peace to impart.

I hear the songs

The angels sing

As my heart longs

For my flight on wing...

Such joy untold

Does fill my soul,

His peace does fill

This hole in my soul.

The Lord comes down

Into my heart;

His Spirit comes 'roun

His peace to impart.

As He leans down,

I kiss His face;

As His tears flow down,

His love I taste.

His sacrifice of Love,

He asks me to embrace;

As my tears o'erflow,

Love's tears interlace.

The Lord comes down

Into my heart;

His Spirit comes 'roun

His peace to impart.

Then Love ascends

To Abba's embrace;

Such peace within

As I see Their face...

Love's sacrifice, Love knows ~

To me, Their Love o'erflows:

Feeling Their tears upon my face

As Father, Son, Spirit

~ me --Their child-- embrace;

To endure Love's hurt,

They fill my heart with grace.

The Lord comes down

Into my heart;

His Spirit comes 'roun

His peace to impart.

~ ~ ~

Let the words of my mouth

and the meditation of my heart

be acceptable in Thy sight,

O Lord my strength, and my Redeemer.

Amen.

~Psalm 19:14

Portrait of Jesus, "Prince of Peace" was the first picture of Jesus painted by Akiane Kramarik when she was only 8 years old!

An interesting story: Little Colton Burpo at age 4 had a near-death experience in which he went to Heaven and saw Jesus; his father wrote the New York Times #1 bestseller in non-fiction paperbacks, Heaven is for Real in which he captured some of Colton's amazing experiences in Heaven. (It is a very inspiring book for us child-loss grievers ~ although it is not a "grief" book, it has ministered to us grieving mothers more than any other grief book out there (according to observations from The Compassionate Friends, USA informal polling).

So, anyway, Colton's parents held up every picture of Jesus they could find (Colton's dad is a pastor) after Colton's visit to Heaven, but Colton had said "No" to every one of them, saying they did not resemble Jesus as he saw and remembered Him. Later, Colton's parents were told about the child prodigy Akiane Kramarik, and that she had painted a picture of Jesus. When they found the picture and showed it to Colton, he just very matter-of-factly said, "That's Him!"

Akiane's mother was Athiest, her father a lapsed Catholic when Akiane began having "divinely inspired visions" after which she began translating into poetry and art. By age four, Akiane was painting and writing poetry. She has appeared on CNN, World News Tonight, and the Oprah Winfrey Show. Akiane too has a book entitled Akiane; I have the book, and it is very inspiring. It has many of her poems and many of her paintings, including this "Prince of Peace."
