• You know you're getting stronger when you've allowed yourself to have your assumptive beliefs challenged, and have re-examined them.

• You know you're getting stronger when you have formed new assumptive beliefs upon assessing the old ones, allowing yourself to throw out falsehoods and embrace truths.

• You know you're getting stronger when you understand the world is not always a predictable, safe place.

• You know you're getting stronger when your spiritual train wreck is gradually being worked through.

• You know you're getting stronger when you recognize that you cannot, and will not, allow yourself to be around toxic people.

• You know you're getting stronger when you recognize you don't need the magical thinking that many people connect with the holidays.

• You know you're getting stronger when the meaning of a holiday totally changes for you.

• You know you're getting stronger when you see new compassion for others rising up in you.

• You know you're getting stronger when you can remember where you parked your car after shopping at a mall.

• You know you're getting stronger when you realize you now know what's really important in life, and you allow yourself to embrace the important and drop the pressures to carry out the unimportant.

• You know you're getting stronger when you're the one making people laugh. (You realize your sense of humor has been restored.)

• You know you're getting stronger when you can do your taxes on time.

• You know you're getting stronger when you can remember to pay your bills on time.

• You know you're getting stronger when you can handle depths of emotion you never thought possible.

• You know you're getting stronger when you can remember how to get home from the post office without having to ask directions!

• You know you're getting stronger when you start taking steps to reorganize your house after years of debilitating grief.

• You know you're getting stronger when you can read a book all the way through and remember what it said.

• You know you're getting stronger when you exercise whether you feel like it or not, knowing our bodies were designed to move.

• You know you're getting stronger when you exercise consistently to help your body, soul, and spirit heal, and want to help yourself build resilience.

• You know you're getting stronger when you can walk into your child's bedroom without collapsing.

• You know you're getting stronger when you begin realizing your relationship with your deceased child has transformed to a here-and-now spiritual dimension.
